H. L. McPherson, owner of McPherson Business Equipment Co. and a deacon at the First Baptist Church in El Paso, died Wednesday.
Services for McPherson, 79, will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Ford Chapel of the First Baptist Church. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Memorial Park.
McPherson worked 27 years with the Remington Rand Co., 22 as district manager, before forming the Business Equipment Co., in 1964. The firm was the exclusive distributor of Diebold Systems and Remington Rand business machines and supplies.
McPherson, a 42-year resident of El Paso, was described as "a man of deep faith" by his daughter, Carol Stone of El Paso. He also taught Sunday school at the First Baptist Church.
"He was a proud man," his daughter said. "His family was the most important thing, after his faith."
He also is survived by his wife, Cleo of El Paso; a brother, J.B. McPherson of Dallas; and *three grandchildren, Julie and Dave Prilliman of Carrollton, Texas, and David Stone of Houston.
Arrangements are by Harding-Orr and McDaniel, Montana Ave.

Hurman, was married to Irma Lolene Keesee, 7 April 1929 and divorce before 1933, Tipton, Ok. She was the daughter of Richard Keesee and Ila Neil.
