Arlis Hamm, 83, died Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012, at the Waters of Scottsburg in Scottsburg. He was a resident of Franklin.

He was born May 15, 1929, in Liberty, Ky., to the late Harrison Benjamin and Lockie (Davis) Hamm. He married Louvina (Pennington) Hamm on Feb. 1, 1947. She preceded him in death Jan. 2, 2007.

Survivors include four children, Glen (Shannon) Hamm and Charlott (Chuck) Wright, both of Greenwood, Gene Hamm of Franklin and Ronald (Cathy) Hamm of Edinburgh; a brother, Lewell Hamm of Columbus; eight grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by six brothers Arnold, Dale, Iver, Albert, Avery and James Hamm; and four sisters, Velma Attwood, Verline Caudill, Velton Monday and Adell Davis.

A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home, 302 E. Main Cross St., Edinburgh, with the Rev. Homer Whited officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.

Arrangements are being handled by Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh.
