Mrs. Alice W. Beasley (1869-1956), 86, mother of W. H. “Ben” Beasley and J. H. “Joe Beasley, died early today in a local nursing home after a long illness.
Funeral services will be Friday at 2:30 p.m. at the W. Carl Davis & Son Chapel with Rev. W. F. Oddy officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill East Cemetery.
Mrs, Beaskley was born Feb. 22, 1869, in Toombs County, Ga., and had been a resident of Palatka for 55 years. She was a member of the Baptist Church.
Besides the sons four grandchildren survive. (Palatka Daily News Obituary dtd Thursday, 2 Feb 1956.)
