One of his daughter's Dawes card shows his name as Alford instead of Alfred. The others show Alfred.

A.T. "Buddy" Gardner

In the passing of A.T."Buddy" Gardner McCurtain County has lost one of her best and oldest citizens. Buddy Gardner was born in Millerton 55 years ago and lived his whole life in this immediate vicinity. Death came to him at his home last Thursday afternoon July 10 at 2 o'clock. He was buried Friday July 11 at the Wheelock Cemetery.

Surviving are seven children: Mrs. Ernest Murphy, Millerton; Mrs. Ivan Nunley, Valliant; Mrs. Frank Strickland, Happy, Texas; Dodie, Alice and Bill Gardner, and a brother, E.J. Gardner of this city. The Tribune joins the many friends of the family in extending condolence.

NOTE: Alfred T. Gardner (my great grandfather) and his brother Edmond signed up on the Dawes Rolls as half-bloods while their sister Carrie (with both of the same parents) signed up as a full-blood.
