Hobert Moore was the son of Henry Clay and Sudie Huff Moore. He lived most of his early years in Owsley County Kentucky with his grandparents, John Wesley and Mary Jane Burch Huff. He moved to Cincinnati Ohio and worked to support his mother and brother. He was in the Army in WW1 and returned to the central Kentucky area after mustering out. He married Suda Mae Baker and was the father of 10 children, Gerald, Lois, Mae, Narcissia, Hazel, Ronald, Dorothy, Margie, Hobert and Kermit.
