Dennis L. Carder of Point Pleasant died Tuesday, Aug. 22, 1995, at his home.
Born in Gallipolis, he was a son of Clifford Carder and Ruby M. (McCulloch) Carder, Point Pleasant. Also surviving is a brother, Dwight 'King' Carder of Point Pleasant, and a niece.
A former assistant executive director of Pleasant Valley Hospital until his illness, he received a bachelor's degree in medical technology from Marshall University in 1975 and master's degree in hospital administration from Xavier University, Cincinnati, Ohio. Prior to working at Pleasant Valley Hospital, he was associated with Central Baptist Hospital of Lexington, Ky., as a medical technologist. Dennis graduated from Point Pleasant High School, Class of 1971.
A member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, he was a former member of the Kiwanis Club, member of the board of directors of the Western West Virginia Chapter American Red Cross; and supporter and volunteer with Make-A-Wish Foundation.
The funeral will be Friday, 11 a.m., at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home with the Rev. George Hoschar officiating. Burial will be in the Suncrest Cemetery, Point Pleasant. Fiends may call at the funeral home Thursday, 7 to 9 p.m.
