He was born in Mitchell Co., KS, on Sept. 12, 1880. When he was a young boy, he moved with his family to Burlington Junction, Mo. He remained there and attended school through the second year of high school. In 1903, he married Miss Laverne Johnson. They made their home in St. Joseph, and two children were born there: Stella, and Jesse A. In St. Joseph, he was associated with his brothers, the late Arch Casey and George Casey, in a painting and decorating business. They moved to King City in 1909, where he lived since, and continued working in painting and interior decorating for forty years. His wife preceded him in death in 1946, after which he made his home with his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. W. N. McVey.
