Lapeer, July 8 -- Charles N. Bessey, 76, was found dead Monday in his home of heart disease. He was born Oct. 14, 1875, near Fostoria. he married Mabel Cummings in Port Huron, Oct. 2, 1902. She died in 1949. The had lived 27 years in Lapeer.
Surviving are a son, Hugh, Flint; three sisters, Mrs. John Phillips and Mrs. Cora Ferguson, Lapeer, and Mrs. Archie Allen, Port Huron; and a brother, William, Alpena.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Baird funeral Home. Burial will be in Smith Hill Cemetery, Otisville.
