Abbey, Barbara J "Bobbie", passed away, peacefully, in Orange, CA on April 17, 2010. Born Barbara Jean Barrett in Los Angeles on October 22, 1934, she graduated Monrovia-Duarte High School and married first husband, Donald E. Wood in 1952. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Thomas "Tom" Abbey. She is survived by her sister, Darlene Barrett; her children and their families, Claudia Noble and husband Brad, Michael Wood and wife Charlene and Patrick Wood and his wife Mary. She was blessed with six grandchildren - Danielle, Brett, Caitlin, Rachel and Jack Wood, and Erik Noble; and many good friends. Bobbie spent most of her career in the paper industry, running her own paper company Bar A Enterprises in the '80s and '90s. She learned to fly in her 40s and piloted her own plane between her Yorba Linda home and "The Ranch" in northern California for many years. Bobbie was a beautiful person and will be missed by all who knew her. Services are Saturday, April 24, 2010 at 10:30am at Loma Vista Memorial Park, Fullerton, CA (714) 525-1575.
