CONWAY | George B. Green, 79, of 4th Avenue, died Thursday, Sept. 11, 2003 at Conway Nursing Center.



Mr. Green was born in Georgetown County, a son of the late Herman Tracy and Geneva Jenerette Green. He was a member of Jamestown Baptist Church and past Deacon and was a member of Conway Masonic Lodge #65 A.F.M. He retired from Santee Cooper with 34 years of service and was predeceased by his wife Edith Causey Green.

Surviving are two sisters, Doris Gilbert of Kings, N.C. and Jean J. Christopher of Conway; and a number of nieces and nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held 4 p.m. Saturday at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel with Rev. Robbin King officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
