Josephine S. Bergman, age 83, passed away Thursday, November 11, 2004, in St. Luke's Hospital. She was born January 10, 1921, to Milton and Ola (Blair) Griffin in Wauseon, Ohio. Josephine was a member of the 1938 graduating class of DeVilbiss High School. A member of Pilgrim United Church of Christ, Josephine served on several church boards and was a church school teacher. She was a longtime member of the Collingwood Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband, John and her daughter, Kathy.
Josephine is survived by her daughters, Sandy (Rick) Glasson, Sue (Fred) Elsasser; 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday in the Ansberg-West Funeral Home, 3000 Sylvania Avenue (419) 472-7633 where friends are invited to visit from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday. Interment in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Pilgrim United Church of Christ or the American Heart Association.
