Geraldine Burke, age 74, of Oneida, passed away Monday, October 22, 2012 at her son's home in Oneida.
Mrs. Burke was born July 13, 1938 in Fentress County. She was the owner/operator of the "10/20 Diner" in Muncie, Indiana for many years.
Mrs. Burke is survived by daughter, Dee Dee Hodges and husband Jason; eight sons, Will H. Burke and wife Kara, Charles Walker and fiancee' Vinna, Jerry L. Walker and wife Betty Jo, James Dean Walker, Bobby Joe Walker and wife Jessica, Rodney Burke and wife Diane, Donnie Burke and wife Malana, and Rick Burke; twenty-two grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jack Garrett and wife Deanna and Horace "Jigger" Weston and wife Jorene; sister, Barbara Slaven and husband Joe; special friends, Taylor Carson, Ann and Eddie Honeycutt and Jean and Cindy Reed; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Mrs. Burke was preceded in death by husband, Lewis Burke; parents, Albert Lee Garrett and Marie Owens Garrett; grandchild, Baby Jade; two brothers, Bud Garrett and Johnny Weston; and two sisters, Magaline Taylor and Betty Barnett.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Four Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Crestin Jeremy Burke and Zach Hodges officiating. Burial followed in the West Cemetery in the Station Camp Community. Pallbearers included Bobby Walker, Jimmy Walker, Jerry Walker, Charlie Walker, Will Burke, Jason Hodges, Rodney Burke, Donnie Burke and Rick Burke.
