John S. Wika was born April 7,1894 in Clark County, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Severt Wika. He was a World War I veteran; a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church; the Cagley-Smith Legion Post; and World War I Barracks. Mr. Wika and Grace Kropp were united in marriage at Madison, SD on July 24,1927.
Mr. Wika passed away March 3, 1969 at the Memorial Hospital in Watertown, following a brief illness.
Survivors are his wife, Grace; a sister, Sarah Wika of Watertown; three brothers, Roy of Mesa, AZ and Nels and Melvin of Clark; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
