Carol Ann Hamilton, 70, of Sullivan, passed away at 9:45 a.m. Monday (November 5, 2012) in Mason Point, Sullivan.

Ann was born August 5, 1942 in Decatur, the daughter of Roy A. and Elsie P. Brown Bliler.

She graduated from the Blue Mound High School in 1960 and began her working career at Decatur Dry Goods. Ann worked at the Millikin National Bank, later Magna Bank in Decatur for 24 years. She then continued her banking career at the State Bank of Sullivan, now First Mid- Illinois National Bank, and retired from there in 2007 after 21 years of service. Ann was in charge of the Club 50 at the bank for a number of years.

She was a member of the First Christian Church in Blue Mound and later attended the Sullivan First Christian Church. She married Harold D. Hamilton on October 25, 1969 in Blue Mound and he preceded her in death on April 26, 2012. Together they owned and operated Hamilton House Restaurant in Blue Mound for a few years and after their move to Sullivan they continued to do catering for many years.
Surviving are her sisters, Kay Nunn and Sue Hale; nieces Dawn Jones, Julie Bedwell; great nephews, Casey Cox anHeath Cox and Thomas Bedwell as well as many cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother-in-law Tom Hale.

Celebration of Life services were held in the Sullivan First Christian Church, Sullivan, with Rev. Rebecca Ingram officiating.

Burial will be in the Hall Cemetery, Blue Mound.
Memorials are suggested to the First Christian Church of Blue Mound, the Sullivan First Christian Church or to Harbor Light Hospice.
