DERRICK FUNERAL
Lexington, Oct 27 - Special - Funeral services for J. Wilbur Derrick of Irmo, who died Friday night at the Providence hospital, will be held at 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon from Bethlehem Lutheran church near Irmo. Officiating will be the Rev. Albert Stemmerman, assisted by the Rev. C.F. DuBose, Jr., the Rev. W. Fred Hedgepath, The Rev. Karl and the Rev. A.B. Ferguson.
Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Edward Younginer, Curtis W. Derrick, H.Q. Gantt, E.H. Halfacre, Hammond Younginer and Lester Moak. They are requested to meet at the home at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon.
Honorary pallbearers are asked to meet at 2:55 at the church. They are members of the Bethlehem church council and B.G. Bouknight, Oscar Shealy, Dr. J.S. Liverman, Dr. A.T. Moore, Jimmie Casterline, E.B. Younginer, Johnny Lorick, Wylie Hook and Jesse D. Younginer.
Mr. Derrick is survived by his widow, Mrs. Ernestine Weed Derrick; two daughters, the Misses Hazel and Vivian Derrick, three sons, Preston, LaVone and Stanley Derrick, all of Irmo; three sisters, Mrs. J.W. Lever and Mrs. E.L. Koon of Columbia and Mrs. W.T. Bouknight of Irmo; three brothers, Frank L. Derrick, W. Gatlin Derrick of Columbia and Marvin L. Derrick of Spartanburg.
