BRADFORD, Tenn., Feb. 26 — Kelly B. Hampton, 78, died at his home, east of Bradford Thursday afternoon, after an illness of several months.
He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jim Hampton of Bradford. He spent his entire life in the same community in which he was born.
He was a Baptist and a member of the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.
The funeral will be held Sunday morning at 11 o'clock at the Mt. Pleasant Church with the Rev. W. A. Butler of Bradford and the Rev. Earl Owens of Lexington officiating.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Hampton; four sons, Fleetwood Hampton, S. C. Hampton and J. O. Hampton, all of Bradford, and W. H. Hampton of New York City; one daughter, Mrs. Kate Knott of Bradford; two sisters, Mrs. Ella Lamb of Milan and Mrs. Zora Akin; and one brother, Bob Hampton of McKenzie.
Burial will be at the church cemetery with Hunt Funeral Home of Bradford in charge.
