Mrs. Josephine Mary Wright, 88, longtime Mohall resident, formerly of Grano, died Thursday. Funeral Monday at 10 a.m., Zion Lutheran Church, Mohall. Burial Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot.

Josephine Book was born July 31, 1888, in Westphalia Township, Harlan, Iowa, and was reared in Iowa. She married Robert S. Wright April 9, 1917, at Sioux City, Iowa. They moved to Nebraska and made their home at Martinsburg for several years. Then they moved to Oklahoma and lived there about a year before returning to Iowa.

In the fall of 1924, the Wrights moved to North Dakota and settled in the Grano area, Callahan Township, Renville County, where Mr. Wright operated a trucking business. Later they moved to a farm in Lockwood Township, Renville County, where they lived until moving near Mohall in 1951. Mrs. Wright’s husband died Sept. 5, 1976.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church and a former member of the Grano Homemakers Club.

Survivors: sons, Tharley C., Orange, Calif., Byron R., and Ronald J., both Mohall; daughters, Mrs. Norval (Cecelia) Veikley, Mohall, Mrs. Harry (Helen) Klatt, Mrs. Hugh (Bernadine) Heily and Mrs. Elmond (Estelle) Lundgren, all rural Mohall; sisters, Lena Bauer, Akron, Colo., Ann Nelson, Omaha, Neb., and Francis Fitzgerald, Veneta, Ore.; brothers, Bill, Al and George, all Ponca, Nev., Alphonse of Harlan, and Robert, Oxnard, Calif.; 19 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren.
