CHAPEL HILL - Grace Watkins Moore, 100, died February 5, 2007, at Britthaven of Chapel Hill.

She was born in Morehead City, August 13, 1906, and has been a Carrboro and Chapel Hill resident for over 75 years. She was a member of the former Carrboro Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Lee Moore; and a daughter, Gloria Moore Pendergraft.

She is survived by her daughter, Sue H. Marbry (Don), of Chapel Hill; and son, Douglas E. Dixon (Helen), of State College, Pa.; four grandchildren, Toni Umstead (John), of Raleigh, Mark Hoenig (Barbara), of Wilmington, and Valinda Thoroughgood (James), of Wilmington, and Terry Pendergraft (Brenda); and ten great-grandchildren.

There will be a graveside service in Westwood Cemetery in Carrboro, Thursday, February 8, 2007, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Jim Greenlee officiating.
