Asa Claude Miller Sr., 65, Dover, Tenn., died Tuesday at Trinity Hospital, Erin, Tenn., following an illness.

Services were this afternoon at Anglin Funeral Home, Dover, with members of Iron Mountain Masonic Lodge No. 544 and Cerulean Springs Masonic Lodge No. 875 officiating and burial in Cerulean Cemetery, Cerulean.

A native of Lexington, he was born Feb. 3, 1928, son of the late Carl M and Jane E Shearer Miller. He was a retired boiler maker, a Baptist, a Navy veteran and a member of Cerulean Springs Masonic Lodge No. 875.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Stewart Miller; five sons, Michael W Miller, Athens, Ga., Asa C Miller Jr, Clarksville, Tenn., and Carl S Miller, Joseph K Miller and Martin E Miller, all of Lexington; a daughter, Debbie L Scott, Clarksville; four brothers, Melvin D Miller, Mount Juliet, Tenn., Richard C Miller, Ocala, Fla., Freddie Miller, Wisconsin, and Donald C Miller, Ontario, Canada; a sister, Anne Morris, LaFayette, Ga.; and eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
