Rural Boone Man Killed At Hubbard
HUBBARD (AP) - Herbert Erickson of rural Boone was killed when struck by a car here Monday.
Police said Erickson was struck by a car driven by Leonard Lampe of Hubbard. No charges were filed.
HERBERT J. ERICKSON, 56, route 4, Boone, a bridge construction foreman, employed by the Hallett Construction Co., was working on a job near Eldora, at the time of the accident.
The late Mr. Erickson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Erickson, was born at Stratford, Iowa, Dec. 18, 1913.
Survivors include his widow, Rebecca; 4 daughters, Mrs. LeRoy (Jackie) Anfenson of Van Nuys, Calif., Mrs. Ronald (Deloris) Smilley of Madrid, Mrs. Walter (Kay) Burc of California and Mrs. Ron (Janet) Moon of Arkansas; 2 step daughters, Mrs. Dennis (Susan) Davis of Boone, and Mrs. Ron (Janet) Moon of is of Atlantic, Iowa; 1 stepson, Ralph H. Craven, Jr. of Boone; 5 brothers, Virgil and Floyd Erickson of Stanhope, George of Stratford, Carl of San Francisco, Calif., and Elmer Erickson of Humboldt; 3 sisters, Mrs. Carl Anderson of Ames, Mrs. Harold Geiger of San Francisco, Calif., and Mrs. Roberta Burke of Yakima, Wash.; 16 grandchildren and many other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Sept. 26, at 1:30 p.m. at the Schroeder Funeral Home with Eugene Crandell in charge. Burial will be at the South Marion Cemetery.
