Mr. Howard S. 'Pete' Avant, age 71, passed away at U.T. Medical Center of Knoxville, from injuries receaved in an automobile accident.
Born in Alexandria, Tn. son of the late W. J. Avant and Nolia Avant.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Alexandria, TN.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Stone Avant, a daughter and son-n-law, Patty and Eddy Seals, a brother, James Avant, and two grandchildren. two sister-n-laws, Sarah Avant and Beulah Avant both of Alexandria;,
one niece and one nephew.
Services will be held on Tuesday at 1:30, at the chapel of Avant Funeral Chapel. Rev David Davis will officiate with burial following in Hillview Cemeter.
Family will receive friends at the Weatherford Mortuary, Oak Ridge,TN. on Sunday from 7p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Monday at Avant Funeral Home from 7p.m. to 9p.m.
