"Ravenna Mourns Death Of Second Soldier of War"

Ravenna, Feb. 16 - Ravenna is again called to mourn the death of a soldier boy, Walter Bales, son of Engineer W. S. Bales of this city, died in camp in Texas Thursday. His wife was in Ravenna when word was received of his serious illness and she hurried to him. The remains will be brought to Ravenna for burial but the date of the funeral cannot be decided on until time of arrival is known. The Bales family have lived in Ravenna a number of years, but Walter, the oldest of the children, has not made his home here. He has visited here on numerous occasions and is quite well known, however, and the community feels that it has lost another fine young man and soldier, and sympathizes with the family in the affliction.
