Fred T. Gibson Dead.

Fred T. Gibson, 64, died at 6 o'clock Thursday evening at his home, one and half miles north of Lang station. He was born January 31, 1864 at Cary, Ill. Mr. Gibson came to Kansas with his parents in 1880, settling on the farm north of Lang where he made his home the rest of his life.

He was married to Miss Jennie Benedict September 16, 1891. Three children were born, all of whom survive with his widow.

Mr. Gibson is survived by his widow, Mrs. F.T. Gibson, of Lang; one son, Henry Gibson of Lang; and two daughters, Mrs. Amy Wilson and Mrs. Faye Smith, both of Emporia. A niece, Mrs. Lucial Tiggart, who was reared by Mr. and Mrs. Gibson, also survives as do one brother, Will Gibson, of Hoodriver, Ore., and one sister, Mrs. Mary Bushmell, of Ringwood, Okla.

Funeral services for Fred T. Gibson, who died at his home 1 1/2 miles north of Lang, were held at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the First Methodist church in Emporia. Rev. C.L. Hovgard, pastor of the church, conducted the services. A men's quartet, composed of E.J. Lewis, C.J. Paterson, Marshall Randel and Ernest Ireland sang. Mrs. E.J. Lewis played accompaniment on the organ. Interment was made in Maplewood cemetery. Pallbearers were: B.M. Crop, G.W. Packett, Earl Smith, Dave Barrett, I.E. Prothroe and R. L. Smith.
