MAGEE—Services were held at 11 a.m. Friday at Mims Mitchell Funeral Home chapel for Ellis L. Stewart Sr., 80, of Magee, who died Wednesday at Magee General Hospital after a lengthy illness.
The Rev. Ray Fuller and the Rev. Warden Kennedy officiated. Interment was in Dry Creek Cemetery.
Survivors include three sons, Ellis and Elmer Stewart, both of Mendenhall, and Gather Stewart of Jackson; four daughters, Mrs. C. W. Arrington of Monroe, La., Mrs. Millard Brewer of Baton Rouge, La., Mrs. James S. Berry of Jackson and Mrs. Frank West of Bastrop, La.; 22 grandchildren; 19 grandchildren; two brothers, Les and Vardaman Stewart; five sisters, Mrs. Alice Nichols, Mrs. Janie V. Abernathy, Mrs. Mary Lee Bullock, Mrs. Bessie Jones and Mrs. Wilma Kennedy.
