Betty J. Evans of Millers Merry Manor – Warsaw Assisted Living passed away at 4:25 p.m. Friday, November 2, 2012 at Vibra Hospital of Fort Wayne, Indiana at the age of 83.
Betty was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, Indiana where she was a 1946 graduate of Mentone High School, and a homemaker.
She was born on December 15, 1928 in Warsaw, Indiana to the late Edwin A. Shirey and Flo Opal (Ellis) Shirey. On May 6, 1946 she was married to Ralph J. Evans, who survives in Warsaw, Indiana.
She will be lovingly remembered by her son: Larry (wife Joyce) Evans (Warsaw, Indiana); and three daughters: Sandra E. (husband Marvin) Flanery (Claypool, Indiana); Sue E. (husband Robert) Conley (Warsaw, Indiana); Sonja (husband Karl) Beck (Rochester, Indiana). She also leaves behind nine grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, one great-great grandson; and his sister: Delores Harman (Warsaw, Indiana). She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, and four brothers.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana.
Her funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home of Warsaw and officiated by Pastor Terry Bradford. A private family graveside will take place at a later date at Oakwood Cemetery of Warsaw, Indiana.
