Frances Burnham May, 74, Newnan, died Oct. 3, 2001. She was born Jan. 9, 1927 in Coweta County. She was preceded in death by husband, Edgar Littleton May and parents, Gordon and Rada Shinn Burnham. She was a retired textile worker at Bibb Manufacturing.
Services were at the McKoon Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bill Dean and the Rev. Joe Blufford officiating. Interment was at Sargent Cemetery.
Survivors include daughters, Jean and Doug Murphy, Hogansville, and Sherry and George Fields, Debra and Terry Smith, Beverly and Mike Payton and Cindy Mize and Mike Chase, all of Newnan; brothers, Hamp Burnham and Harold Burnham, both of Newnan; a sister, Margaret Majors, Newnan; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
McKoon Funeral Home, Newnan, was in charge.
