                     David L. Bowling Dies at Age 84

     David Lindsey Bowling, 84, retired farmer of
St. Albans, died yesterday morning at his home
after a long illness.
     He was born at Tazewell, Va., son of the late
Harvey and Virginia Brown Bowling.
     He was a member of the First Methodist Church,
St. Albans.
     Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Bessie Bowling; six
sons, H. C. of Oak Hill, Orin and Oris, both of Charles-
ton, Raymond and Lucian, both of St. Albans, and
Theron of Crow, Raleigh County; two daughters,
Mrs. D. M. Farley of Beaver and Mrs. Gladys Lewis
of St. Albans; three brothers, J. E. and O. J., both
of Jumping Branch, and T. A. of Hinton; a sister,
Mrs. Ada Walker of Edwight; 28 grandchildren and
11 great-grandchildren.
     Service will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow at Mt. Tabor
Baptist Church. Rev. A. H. Chapman and Rev. Willie
Wills will officiate. Burial will be in Calfee Cemetery
at Mt. Tabor.
     The body is at the Calfee Mortuary at Beckley.
