Kenneth Germann, 86, of Springfield, died at 4:05 am, Friday, November 2, 2012 at Memorial Medical Center. He was born August 3, 1926 in Springfield, Illinois to Felix and Elsie South Germann. He married Marie Margaret Hensey on August 6, 1949 and she preceded him in death on December 26, 2005.
His parents and an infant son, Kenneth Lee Germann also preceded in death.
Survivors include two sons, two grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and several cats that live at the gardens.
He worked at Broccardo Brothers Bottling Company and then was the former co-owner with his wife, Marie, of the Pepperidge Farm Franchise for the Springfield area for 25 years.
He was a US Army veteran. He enjoyed talking with people that visited Germann Gardens; overseeing projects at several adjacent properties; joking with the doctors, nurses and patients during his frequent visits and breakfast at Hardees with his friends.

Burial will follow at Camp Butler National
