AUGUSTA, Ga.- Entered into rest at University Hospital on December 18, 2003, Mrs. Hattie B. Kernaghan, wife of the late Herbert Eugene Kernaghan, Sr. of Augusta. Mrs. Kernaghan had worked at Lilly Cup Corp. as an Instructor. She was a member of Reid Memorial Presbyterian Church, the Augusta Woman's Club, Oriental Garden Club, Georgia Federation of Woman's Club, Hephzibah Agricultural Club, Senior Friends, Richmond County Wildlife Club and the Pinnacle Club. She had lived all her life in the Augusta area. Survivors include two sons, Herbert Kernaghan and wife Jean, of Augusta and Key Kernaghan and wife Joan of Evans; one brother, Mr. W.E. Byrd, of North Augusta, S.C.; seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held today, December 19, 2003 at 2 p.m. at Magnolia Cemetery with Dr. Jeffrey Newlin officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the graveside. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Shriners Cr ipple Children Hospital, Greenville, S.C. or to the Boy's Farm, Newberry, S.C. Thomas L. King Funeral Home, 124 Davis Rd., Martinez, Ga.
