Howard M. Toalston, 71, of Rt. 2, Carrollton, died Monday in Mercy Hospital after an illness of three months. He was a retired farmer. Born July 13, 1894, in East Township, Mr. Toalston was a son of the late Joseph and Emma (Stockman) Toalston and had resided most of his life in Carroll County.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Florence Toalston; one son, Roy J. of Carrollton and two sisters, Mrs. Olive Myers of Rt. 2, Salineville and Mrs. Eleanor Williard of East Carrollton. Four half-brothers are deceased. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. this Thursday at the Allmon Funeral Home here with Rev. H. David McCalmont officiating. Burial will be in Westview Cemetery, Carrollton.
