The family will receive friends at Roberta United Methodist Church 3925 Cochran Road SW Concord, NC 28027 on Sunday, November 4, 2012 from 2 until 3 PM. Funeral services will follow at the church at 3 PM, with Rev. David Cox officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Irene was born on March 9, 1914 in Cabarrus County, to the late Daniel Vernon and Sarah Frances Blackwelder Furr. She was also preceded in death by her husband Edward Glenn Little in 1975, and son Billy Jack Little in 2008, brothers, Jake, Fred, John, D.V., Lawton, and Ben Furr, sisters, Gertrude Blackwelder, Rebecca Cochran, and Cathline Litaker.
Irenes spirit will live on thru her son's, grandchildren, family and friends who share her love for life.
She has three sons to cherish wonderful memories of a loving mother, , A.F. Fletchel Little and wife Betty, Edward Vernon Little and wife Ethel, C.F. Buck Little and wife Melissa; a brother, Harold Furr and wife Ophelia "Philly"; grandchildren, Dana Little, Rick Little, Aaron Little, Jerome Little, Phillip Little, Lisa Little Rice, Martra Kluttz all of Concord, and Greg Little of California; fourteen great-grandchildren; niece, Norma Honbarrier like a daughter; special friend, Brenda Massey.
The family would like to thank the staff at Universal Healthcare in Concord for making her last days comfortable.
