W. H. STACK DEAD.

William Henry Stack died this morning at 5 o'clock after a long sickness from Bright's disease. William Stack was born in North Carolina in 1848, and came to Kansas thirty-seven years ago, settling in Emporia. He was married on October 29, 1879, to Leatha A. Fowler, in Emporia, Mr. Fowler is survived by his wife and three children: Harley Stack, Mrs. L. E. Romigh, of Slater, Mo.; Mrs. D. J. Dunn, of Emporia, and a step-daughter, Mrs. Albert Beck, of Emporia. Two sisters, Mrs. Dolile (sic) Bachman, of Kansas City, Kan., and Mrs. Lottie Harris, of Emporia, and two brothers, C. F. Stack, of Dequeen, Ark.; and John D. Stack, of Kokomo, Ind., are living.

William Stack was a member of the Presbyterian Church. He served in Company B, 189th Ohio Infantry. He was a member of the G. A. R. He had many friends in Emporia. He had many friends in Emporia who extend their sincere sympathy to the bereaved family.

Funeral services will be held at the home, 27 Neosho Street, Thursday morning at 10 o'clock. The services will be conducted by the Rev. L. A. Rorick, of the Grace Methodist Church, and interment will be in Maplewood Cemetery.
