LEWIS BROWN, PIONEER STATE BUILDER, DEAD--
Lewis Brown, pioneer state contractor, died Wednesday at his home, 2304 W. Park Place, after an illness of four days. Brown came to Perry before statehood, lived for a period in Olustee, and moved to Oklahoma City in 1910. In addition to engaging in general contracting work here, Brown was city inspector for the Lake Overholster dam and was inspector for materials in the construction of the present old Capitol building.
Survivors are five sons, Clifford, Wayne, Guy and Clyde of Oklahoma City, and Ray of Electra, TX; two daughters, Mrs Chet (Nadine) Hill, Oklahoma City, and Mrs C. W. (Goldie) Cecil of Abilene, TX. Services will be arranged by Garrison Funeral Home.
