Marie Arnett Whitaker, Age 77, a resident of Gunlock, Kentucky passed away Saturday, December 18, 2010 at the Highlands Regional Medical Center. Marie was born October 3, 1933 in Magoffin County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Burney and Harriet Wireman Arnett.
Survivors include one son, Bruce Michael Whitaker of Woodbury, MN; three sisters, Sandy Shepherd and Ruth Shepherd both of Gunlock, Kentucky and Mable Hopkins of Wisconsin and one grandson, Christopher Michael Whitaker of Woodbury, MN.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Jim Dan Whitaker; two brothers, Arthur Arnett and Richard Arnett and one sister, Dorothy Arnett preceded Marie in death.
Private services will be announed at a later date.
