Description: John Lowell Killman;John has his homecoming, on Sunday July 13, 2014 @ 4:30 am in Tucson, Arizona, at the age of 66 years.He was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on July 15th, 1947, the son of James Carroll & Doris Killman, whom both preceded him in death. John was an avid motocross racer while living in California. John was a very gifted mechanic and worked for many years on of cars and motorcycles as well. He was the 1st man to set a World Record in 1974: at the Baja 500: on a 125 cc class motorcycle. John also loved sailing and did this for many years, he was a tugboat captain and sailed many boats from California to Hawaii for those who owned them. He enjoyed the open sea and was never one for staying in one place for very long. John loved others deeply, especially his family and those close to him. He was a loving son, brother, father, stepdad, grandfather and friend. He never met a stranger and was always quick to lend a helping hand. John was a loving caregiver to his Dad, and always made time for his Mother. John was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and his Aunt Lucille Gipson in 2004. John is survived by: son John L. Killman and wife Fay, grandson Christian, granddaughters Elizabeth, Diana Doris and Lisa Marie. Step-son Carl Landon and ex-wife Gayle Killman. John was also preceded in death by his Aunt Lucille Gipson in 2004. John is also survived by a brother David Killman of Tucson, Arizona. David and John were extremely close over the years. David had been taking care of John for quite some time & was his constant caregiver and best bud! Brothers like no other! I swear they were joined at the hip! Lol Sisters Dee Dee Dover of Nederland Texas, Carol and husband Rene Lusser of Driggs, Idaho. Rae-Jean and Husband David of Buffalo, Oklahoma. Linnie Robison and Husband Wally of Devol, Oklahoma and Janet (Pudge) Newark and husband Keith of Burkburnett, Texas. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. John was not a letter writer but always left us with this comment: "Every time the phone doesn't ring. Every time you don't get a letter in the mail. Know I am thinking of you and loving you always." We are thankful for the years we had John with us. We will always miss the laughter, his sweet grin and the wink of his eye.! You will never be forgotten. Cremation handled by Evergreen Mortuary and Cremation . Ashes scattered at sea. To live on in the hearts of those he loved is to never die. Happy sailing John!
