Swanson, Jr., DDS, MPhil Description: Physicians that I have located or are researching that practiced dentistry in part or to the exclusion of general medicine. The whole focus of my Find-A-Grave contribution is toward dentists that I have an artifact or document in my archive related to. Many of the early dentists in the United States were physicians unlike Great Britain that had a number of dentists or operators of the teeth that evolved from barber surgeons. In the U.S. I have been able to document very few barbers that evolved into dentistry. The same person may be in several of my virtual cemeteries.
