A Virtual Cemetery created by: Ben Z. Swanson, Jr., DDS, MPhil
Description: Physicians that I have located or are researching. The whole focus of my Find-A-Grave contribution is toward dentists that I have an artifact or document in my archive related to. I have also created a virtual cemetery for Physician/Dentist practitioners and/or those that held an M.D. degree but practiced dentistry. Many of the early dentists in the United States were physicians unlike Great Britain that had a number of dentists or operators of the teeth that evolved from barber surgeons. In the U.S. I have been able to document very few barbers that evolved into dentistry. The same person may be in several of my virtual cemeteries, in fact a physician who practiced dentistry would be in all three - Physician, Dentist, and Dentist/Physician. I wish to thank MSB (#46948018) for forming the beginning nucleus of my Physician virtual cemetery.
