Description: These are people who have been instrumental in teaching, singing, and promoting of Sacred Harp singing within the United States starting with the late 18th century and up through the 20th century, including my direct descendants on my Mother's maiden name side (Denson) and those who were related to her (e.g., uncles, aunts, and cousins). Most of the information on the persons listed in this virtual cemetery that I personally submitted to Find A Grave comes from "The Original Sacred Harp Songbook" (1960 edition), Dr. Marion E. Denson's genealogy book "Reverend Levi Phillips Denson - Denson Families in America", and "The Makers of the Sacred Harp" by David Warren Steel with Richard H. Hulan.
