Description: "…report of the operations of the Forty-first Regiment Ohio Veteran Infantry during the campaign just closed. I have also to include the services of the First Ohio Volunteer Infantry from the 6th of May to the 21st of July, during which time that regiment was consolidated with my own… …moved… to the vicinity of Dallas, …into position 500 yards from the enemy's works near Pickett's Mill." 26 men killed, 70 wounded, 6 missing at Picketts Mill -No. 65. Lt. Col. Robert L. Kimberly, [41st] Ohio Infantry… "May 27th… the regiment lost two officers, Lieuts Dickson and Grove, and eight men killed, and two officers and seventy-one men wounded." -From "Ohio in the war : her statesmen, her generals, and soldiers (Volume 02) (1868)"
