Section 4 Lots 4 & 5 at Elmwood Cemetery, River Grove, Illinois contains graves of the Chicago Typographical Union (CTU). . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . There is a small obelisk with the union name on the front. On the south side is a bronze plaque with a Memorial to their 15 fallen members of World War I (13 journeymen and 2 apprentices). Surrounding the obelisk are approximately 425 graves of deceased union members. The first burial was in 1900 and the last burial was in 1974. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . All of the grave markers are small gray stones with the name and most contain the date of death. Note that the spelling of their names and the actual dates of death are sometimes different that what is shown on the grave markers.
