Miller - Drennen & Findley & Robinson of PA-OH

Miller-side ancestral line from Ireland to PA to Ohio. The initial Drennen immigrants were four brothers who were followed later by their widowed and remarried mother, who married Findley. Both in that Drennen-Findley couple had children by their first marriages and then together. So our gallery contains those "distant" connections who considered themselves a shared family. Our most famous Findleys were Congressman William (son of the first marriage of our Drennens' stepfather) and David (son of our Drennens' mother by her second marriage to Findley). The Drennens and Findleys were initially Covenanters from Northern Ireland but folded into the merger of the Associate (Seceder)/Reform (Covenanter) churches within Presbyterian, just as our Seceder Miller did. The Findleys traveled from Middle Octorara area to Cumberland County PA to Westmoreland County PA that became Allegheny County PA, while some of their descendants went to Ohio, just as the Drennen descendants did. Drennens, though, went more north to Summit and east to Belmont Counties of Ohio while the Findleys went more south-central to the New Concord area, west of Belmont County along the National Road. The Robinson tie comes as our first Ohio Drennen ancestor Mathew (son of William of Allegheny) married Jane Robinson at Forks of the Yough PA and then moved to Northfield, Ohio.
