| Birth: | Feb. 22, 1914 | | Death: | Feb. 18, 1965 Philadelphia Philadelphia County Pennsylvania, USA | Fay was my maternal grandmother and we called her "Granny." She died young at 51 from heart failure. I was only a toddler then but I actually have some faint memories of her. She was a big, happy woman who loved her two grandsons more than life itself. In nearly every picture we have with her, she always is giving us a big hug or a kiss on the cheek.
She couldn't wait to be a grandmother. When she found out that my mom was pregnant for the first time, she got so excited she started jumping up and down and hitting my grandfather on his bald head with the phone. He talked about that for his entire life and always claimed to still have a welt on his head.
Fay was married to Samuel Shaw in 1934 and had two daughters, Carol and Sandra who was my mother, and two grandsons. Family links: Spouse: Samuel Shaw (1908 - 1990)
