Came to the United States as a boy from Hungary.

Became a naturalized citizen of the United States on January 22, 1916 in Syracuse, New York.

Married Vickie Belle Palmer Williams on May 17, 1937; no children.

Served in the Army of the United States: Company "A" of the 27th Regiment of Infantry, United States Volunteers from July 10, 1899 to August 1, 1901; Field Artillery Batteries from 1901 until retirment from active duty on May 2, 1924; spent six years in foreign service.

After retiring from the US Army he took up a second career as Captain of the Guard at the Federal Reserve Bank in Dallas, Texas where he managed the bank's security force.
