Perdika (my grandmother) was one of 4 surviving children born to Demetrios Politis and Irini Begakis. Her siblings were: Maria, George and Pantelis. She married Stylianos Sideratos on January 20, 1935 in Dafnonas, Chios, Greece. They had 4 children live to adulthood: Angeliki, Demetrios, Nikolaos and Irene (my mother). She emigrated to the USA on Thanksgiving day, 1955 with her family where she stayed until her death.
