Homer Price Elam was the son of Robert Allen Elam and Aurora Etna Turner Elam. He was a brother to Eddie Lee Elam, Willie Walter (Bill) Elam and Francis Lafayette (Tick) Elam. He was a half-brother to Mattie Mae Hammond Healer. Homer married Gladys Violet McCormick. They were parents to Violet Mae Elam Appleton and Jo Marion Elam Aycock. He served his country as a Sgt. in WWI. "Uncle Homer" was a very gentle, quiet and dry-witted man. He loved his family very much.
