Francis T. Yukna, 85, of Hanover died Saturday, September 10, 2011. Born in Brockton to Anna and Joseph Yukna. Francis graduated from Brockton High in 1944 and then joined the Navy where he was an aviation mate/waist gunner on a PBY4. After WWII he attended Bryant College on the G.I. bill. He met, fell in love with, and married Mary Lee Hinckley. Activated for the Korean conflict, he served on the Destroyer USS Damato. He was an award winning sales manager for Sentry Insurance and also served as president of the CPCU-Boston Chapter. Francis also taught several business classes at Northeastern University. He loved many athletic endeavors, especially tennis. He was an accomplished piano player and loved to cook, garden and entertain. He loved his family. He is survived by his wife, Mary Lee, his children, Christopher, Gregory, Kerry Hopkins, Joseph, and Judith Struble, as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Always generous, he loved, was loved, and will be missed.
