Jean Hause was born in Salt Lake City, Ut., to Joseph and Helen B. Kliphouse Hause. He had one sister, Josephine Carol.
Jean and Josephine moved to Los Angeles, Ca. after the death of their Mother in 1922. They lived with their Aunt Jennie Mahedy, who was the sister of their mother, Helen.
Jean married Ruth Austin in 1930, in Orange County, California. They had one daughter, Helen, in 1934. They bought a home in Ocean Park (Santa Monica), Calif.
Jean was a painting contractor until his death on Valentines day, 1975. He was 62 years old.
The couple loved to travel on frieghter ships. While in Germany in the late 1960's, they purchased a Volkswagon to travel around Germany in. When they returned home, they had the car shipped to the states. On another trip to Germany, they purchased an Audi, and once again shipped it to the States.
He loved to travel to Mexico, take Sunday drives with his grandchildren to see the freighter ships at Port in Long Beach. Mexican food, scotch, and solitare...
