Miss Jessica Noel Daniels, age 16, died at her residence in Santa Claus, Georgia, Thursday, December 4, 1997. Miss Daniels was a native of Toombs County and a student at Toombs County High School. She was a member of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Survivors include her mother, Kay Parrish Thompson, Lyons, step sister, Melissa Cranford Vinson, Lyons; step brother Michael Cranford, Reidsville; sisters; Amber and Brooke Daniels both of Santa Claus; grandmother,Hope Parrish of Vidalia, Two aunts, Debbie Johnson and Gail Edenfield, both of Lyons. Cousins, Olivia Johnson and Daniel Edenfield.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, December 8, at the First United Methodist Church in Lyons. Interment was in Lyons City Cemetery. Jones - Stewart Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
A sad ending to a life yet lived. Jessi was murdered on December 4,1997, along with her dad, Danny, his wife Kim and Kim's son Bryant. The intruder was caught and is on death row in Jackson, Ga. It happened to be a young man that Danny and Kim had tried to help get his life straight.
Jessi came into our lives when she was only 18 months old by way of adoption.
