MY HUSBAND DONALD Donald was born Sept. 24, 1934 in Chardon, Ohio. A son of Ralph and Dorothy Loveland Sampson.
Don worked for Peerless Electric for 13 years and then for 28 years for General Motors retiring 1994. He was a 1953 graduate of Windham High School where he was inducted into the Hall of Fame for Basketball and Football in 1998. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Niles. He enjoyed hunting, traveling, and family gatherings. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict.
Don is survived by his Mother Dorothy Mattson; ( His mom is now with him)... she died peacefully at the age of 94,Feb. 26,07 a Stepmother Claudine Sampson She is deceased died 2012; his wife Loretta Ann Luknis Sampson whom he married July 20, 1957; ( my husband and I were married 44 yrs, two sons Donald E., Jr. and his wife Barbara and Jeffrey D. and his wife Tammy; two half sisters Gayle Mattson and Linda Pennington; a half brother Boris Harold Sampson;(he died March 08) of cancer, and four grandchildren Matthew Sampson and Amber Sampson and William Alexander Heath Sampson and Abigail Sampson..... We now have 2 great grandson Oh!!! how My husband would of enjoy them.......... His Father precedes him in death........
.................... My husband died of a blood clot in his right leg that travel to his heart at his home, while he attempted to take his dog( Tasha) for a walk...................( Our dog Tasha is with him now.) Oct.7th 2006................ Tasha is in Find-a grave now too. Tasha Sampson

Dear, Sam and I went to the cemetery yesterday and got the grave looking nice for Memorial Day. We put mulch down and cleaned the stone.Miss u so much.Love u.
