Ellen Lakey was the adopted daughter of Ralph and Minnie Rose (Kellogg) Horn. Her name prior to the adoption was Pricilla Bell Winters. It has been said that she was actually the biological daughter of her adoptive mother and Mr. Fritz Tilson, her mother's second husband.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Switzer (her first husband), her husband, "Willis" Francis Lakey, and son, Willis Steven "Steve" Lakey. Surviving were her children: Robert Lee "Bob" Switzer, Lebanon, MO., Rose Ellen "Rosie" (Switzer)[McQueen] Bradshaw, Waverly, MO, Evert "Owen" Switzer II, Louisville, TN, Charles William Switzer, Jr. [Charles "Jack" Gudgel], Scott Bluff, NE., and Francis "Jolene" Lakey, Fayetteville, AR.
